The Right Diet.

What is the right type of dieting? Which dietician can tell us the healthy way of dieting? Who to listen to and who not to. These questions are the major problems a person   wanting to diet faces.  I remember every time I bring up the topic of dieting among my friends  & colleagues they all start giving their own opinions and a huge quarrel begins and by the time you know it the discussion turns into an Indian Parliament session.  The most common topic is whether bananas are fattening or not.  Among all these you decide to keep peace and continue you regular eating habits.

But nowadays a lot of modifications have been made in the Banting plan.  While considering dieting one must also consider the fact that every human body is different and accepts different kind of dieting.  A low fat diet is not suitable for someone trying to gain weight.  Though a high protein diet is suitable and necessary for people both trying to gain and lose weight.  A high protein diet includes foods that are rich in protein  e.g  eggs, greek yoghurt, cottage cheese, milk soy milk and meat.

So how do you know what kind of dieting you actually need?  For that we have to just under stand what dieting really is.  Dieting is the process of maintaining an individual food habits to either lose, maintain or gain weight.  Nowadays its mostly to lose weight.  Dieting is divided into 3 categories low carbohydrates, low fat and low calories.  Though there is not much difference between the 3 as they more or less give the same result.  These diets  along with physical exercise gives you the desired result.

While dieting, physical exercise plays an equally important role in maintaining weight.  The right kind of exercise will give the person the desired figure.  Like, squats will help in slimming and toning the legs, thighs and buttocks.  Weight lifting will lead to burn in calories and building muscles.  Cardio makes the heart beat pump and leads to loss of fat and overall slimming.

The first successful diet plan was called “Banting” after an English undertaker, William Banting.  Formerly obese, he followed a diet plan that had meat, fruits and wine and avoided sugar.  This diet was mostly categorised in the low carbohydrate diet.  Given time, his dieting became the most popular one.

The most popular form of exercise of the 21st century is yoga.  Though yoga is an old 5000 years Asian way of calming , soothing  and reverberating one from its own consciousness, most people nowadays take it as the best form of exercise.  Yoga makes one’s body slim, toned and healthy through twists, stretching and deep breathing including making the soul of the person peaceful.  All in all, yoga purifies the body, soul and mind.

.So next time when you think of dieting, make sure you diet chart is prepared correctly with the help of a dietician (not your friends!) and your physical exercise is planned properly by either your gym yoga instructor.
